Amar chobi, is a film related magazine program being telecasted in Channel i. The programme features interviews with renowned film directors and actors from Bangladesh and discussions about popular Bangla films. Amar Chobi embarked on its journey on January 2, 2000 with an opening interview of famous film director, A.J.Mintoo.Amar Chobi telecasted 57 episodes with young and veteran directors of the film industry, including those from the mainstream and alternative stream. Among them were popular film directors, the late Mita, Tozammel Huq Bakul, S.K. Niamat Ali and M.A.Samad.
Amar Chobi is the only weekly magazine in Bangladesh television channels to cross the mark of 250 episodes. Channel i telecasted the grand 250th episode and the subject and attraction of the episode was the veteran film actor Saifuddin of Mukh-O-Mukhosh. Amar Chobi is telecasted every Thursday at 6.25 pm.
