The central character Salam is an easygoing youth who dreams big. He is educated but unemployed. He worries about his family. Salam considers going abroad. He thinks by doing that he can somehow make his dreams come true. Eventually he becomes desperate. An organised group of dishonest manpower agents take advantage of his desperation. He loses a great deal of money in the process and the family loses its assets and savings. During an attempt to migrate illegally, Salam loses his life. On the other hand, Salam's friend Sharif is more prudent and pragmatic. He takes courses on Hotel management at NHTTI (National Hotel and Tourism Training Institute) and gets himself a legal job and visa to UK.

Dik Bhranto Nabeek narrates the unfortunate end of a youth full of potentials. It also provides a glimpse at the benefits of adopting legal means of migration to the audience. Written and directed by Al Mansur, the film was produced by Refugee & Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU) with technical assistance from Media-mix Enterprise Ltd. and supported by The British High Commission, Dhaka. Based on a story by popular author Humayun Ahmed, the movie revolves around Asif, a theatre buff who had to alienate himself from his passion in his school days. His ultra-conservative father's restrictions did not allow him to pursue theatre. However, years later Asif makes a return to the stage. He falls for Leena, daughter of a district judge and the young couple marry despite her father's disapproval.

Asif's undying love for theatre is somehow transmitted to Leena, who begins acting in stage plays. Eventually a new actress becomes the point of contention between Leena and Asif. Asif is again asked to quit theatre; this time his unborn child is the excuse. The film follows the couple and consequences of their decisions. Manna, Moushumi and Dighi play the lead roles of the movie. The movie is scripted and directed by Shah Alam Kiron.

The serial unravels gradually.

Fatema seeks justice by petitioning the commissioner and other influential people. But it is all in vain. The so-called relative hires a miscreant called Nazrul and kidnaps Fatema. Fatema is assaulted by the hoodlum and burn to death. This sensational case is taken on by Mahila Parishad and three criminals are hanged. Based on Nazrul's confessional statement, a warrant is issued against other people involved in the crime.

Sakhina can never forget the terrible night and barbarism of the local commander. At present she works in a hospital as a nurse. One day she discovers a patient who is known as the popular leader Khale-quzzaman Chuni Mia. She recognises him instantly as he was the culprit and collaborator of the Pakistani Army. Thus the story advances.

Priyo Parveen - A love story in 1971

Storyline: Masuma is married off to an educated service-holder with a sizeable dowry. After the marriage, several household goods are found missing. Masuma, much to her dismay, learns that her husband comes home late at night because he gambles and thus squanders his own money as well as his company's resources.

Masuma's husband tortures her whenever she raises her voice against his expenses. On top of this, he fails to fulfill the duty of a father as he neglects his two children. Once he goes so far as to sell his wife's jewellery to pay off the debts he has incurred at the office. Later he squeezes Masuma's family for money which he claims would go into a business venture. As if all this isn't enough, he secretly marries another woman and his ill treatment of his wife continues.

Pushed into a corner, Masuma is compelled to sell clothes from door to door in Old Dhaka. Eventually she marries off one child, and arranges a job for her son. Ain O Shalish Kendra comes to her rescue with legal assistance.
