The film features popular artistes such as Srabonti, Riaz, Abdul Qader, Dolly Zahur, ATM Shamsuzzaman and Amol Bose. Popular music composers Ayub Bachchu, Emon Saha, Tutul, Nochiketa have composed songs, while famous singers Konokchampa, Asif, Panthokanai, Udit Narayan, Ferdous Ara and Mehreen have sung for the film. The film is directed by Matin Rahman.

Kala Golar Mala - Telefilm

On the sixth day of Eid, this telefilm will be aired at 3:00pm. The story is about an innocent village boy named Kala Mia who can hardly do any job properly. He makes a fool of himself and is a laughing stock for his stupidity in the village. The script is written by the director of the telefilm Monir Hossin Jibon based on a story by Zakir Hossain. Azizul Hakim, Tania Ahmed, Litu Anam, Shyamoli, Ejazul Islam, Saleh Ahmed, Faruq Ahmed, Shatadal Barua and others will take part in different roles.

Ontoraler Kotha is a TV programme which endeavours to generate public awareness on gender violence and possible preventive measures.

The story line of the case study: The well loved Shahinur, a girl from an affluent family lives in the village Jaleshwar, Savar. Her mother is always busy with the household work along with her only son and daughter. There are rows of mud huts and brick houses both at the back and front of their house. The family depends on the income from the house rent. Rokhsana and her husband Nazim rent a room under false pretences.

What happens next is for the viewer to discover.

Hridoye Ekattur, a documentary programme based on Shaheed Altaf Mahmud's life and times is telecast on channel i. Written by Selim Al Din, the show is directed by Afzal Hossain.Mahmud is widely known for his timeless music composition, Amar Bhaier Rakte Rangano Ekushey February, Ami ki bhulitey pari? The song, which commemorates the martyrs of the Language Movement, has secured him a unique position in the hearts of the Bangladeshis. He was honoured with several national awards. In addition, he actively supported the Freedom Fighters. This led to his arrest by the Pakistani Army from his residence on August 30, 1971.

The show features the contribution of Mahmud during 1971 and an interview session with the relatives and friends of Shaheed Altaf Mahmud.

A special dance programme, featuring songs on Liberation War, will be aired at 11:10pm on December 16. The programme is produced by Ananya Ruma.

Lux Channel i Performance Award 2005

It was a memorable evening on November 17 when the Lux Channel i Performance Award (LCPA) '05 was held at the Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium culminating with a glittering cultural event. More than 45,000 spectators attended the award giving ceremony. The documentary features the refuge camps set up at the no man's land (Bangladesh-India border) during our Liberation War. The documentary depicts the plight of eight lakh Bengali refugees. Filming of the documentary began in 1971. The documentary was previously known as Shokunder Bochhor.

Grameen Phone Tritio Matra, is a popular daily talk show currently running on Channel i. The show features discussions on contemporary issues. The show gained popularity because of its distinctive dialogue format. It was first aired on July 17, 2003. The show specialises in dialogues with leading personalities.

The TV show celebrated its milestone 1000th episode on April 11, 2006. The discussion focused on the current political situation in the country and some hard-hitting issues such as Kansat killing, prevalent corruption, political tolerance between the government and the opposition, democratic practices and the upcoming general election. The talk show is directed and hosted by Zillur Rahman.

Priyo Parveen - A love story in 1971

Priyo Parveen, a single episode TV play, written and directed by Shoraf Ahmed Jibon, will be telecast on Channel i , tonight at 7:50 pm. The play is about an uncomplicated young man named Faruk who becomes a freedom fighter. He loves Parveen deeply but she is unaware of Faruk's infatuation as he never expresses his feelings to her.

One day when he goes to tell her how much he cares, he is caught red handed by her father. Her father forces Faruk to leave the village. Meanwhile the Liberation War breaks out and people flee the village. Faruk joins the war. He sends a letter to Parveen to let her know about his feelings. Thus unfolds the story.

The cast of the play includes Mosharraf Karim, Sheoti, Rifat Chowdhury, Sohel Khan, Monira Akhter Mithu, Shanta and others.
